Turning the Page

So we've had an interesting few days. We finally caved and bought the DVD burner that I absolutely needed now that I have no more memory left on any of my memory cards and my laptop is on the fritz. So I am now currently trying to make this new piece of junk work (can you tell I'm not having fun?) but it has been interesting to go through LH's old videos. It made me want to cry last night seeing her rolling around on the floor not much older than LF is now and knowing that I don't remember all that much of it. If it wasn't for the videos I'd have no real clear picture of the day to day things like that. I've got to step up on filming LF because I'll be soon forgetting him as well! :(

I edited the videos (which didn't end up working by the way...) and got to LH's 2nd birthday, it's crazy to see how much she's changed and grown since even then, and it's only been 4 months! I thought I did remember her turning two and all that, but I didn't realize how much has changed, so obviously I don't remember it all that well!

LF got his shots today, poor guy. But he takes it so well. He only complains about it when you're holding him down and the needles are in. It's amazing how fast he calms down, simply entertain him a bit with a toy or lifting him in the air and he's fine. He blows me away! But we'll have to see how these shots affect him this time.

So Daddy had a busy few days as well. He had an interview with BST (here in town) yesterday and was offered the job. So he told them he wanted to talk to me first, and he also came home and phoned the Minute Muffler in Q to see if they could push thier decision making time up so we could try to hold out for moving back home. They told him to call back on Friday. Then he gets a call from PG Motors for an interview this morning, and this morning they offered him the job. So, the thing with PGM is that after a short few months of a pay cut he'll get quite the pay raise and if he becomes Dealer certified he can get another raise. So... seeing as Minute Muffler isn't exactly what Daddy had in mind for the ideal job and he's always been curious as to what it's like to work flat rate and for a dealer we've decided to stay here and take the job. It just seems like a good opportunity for the family and for Daddy. He can challenge himself to make flat rate work and perhaps that will lead to more opportunities somewhere else later down the road, especially if he gets dealer certified. I think the situation makes him a little nervous though, the tight spot we'll be in a little longer because of the pay cut, and especially because he's not sure how good he'll do on flat rate. But I think he needs to accept the challenge, the chance to see that he can do it.

So anyway, on to the next chapter...
