Spring is in the Air!

Spring has sprung in the Cariboo! FOUR full weeks earlier than we ever would have experienced it at our old home! I have to say, I'm loving this!
I've been trying to ignore it for the most part but now I have to admit that the daily countdown has officially begun... 26 more days until we move into our new home. I've painted rooms, arranged the (new) furniture, set everything into place in the cupboards and closets and started reorganizing the daycare craft supplies to fit into my new custom-built shelving in the storage space under the stairs. All this only in my mind at about 1 am when I'm trying desperately to fall asleep.
In the meantime (and outside of my imagination) the kids are outgrowing their limited supply of clothes!! Lol. And I don't think Aunt F would be too impressed if we made an even bigger mess of her basement in a most likely futile attempt at finding the stored next-size-up clothes for the kids. The worst of it is only the pj's for now anyway, so flood-pant jammies are just going to have to be acceptable for a few more weeks!
The kids are starting to get adjusted to thier new lives here however, LH's found a new friend, so she's definitely happy! I was lucky enough to be hired on to babysit by an old school friend and her daughter is the same age as LH. For now the babysitting is pretty sporadic and every day that we don't visit LH complains about missing her friend.
I think I'm forgiven now for moving her here. If only I could forget the heartwrenching, desperate tears she shed for her PG friends.
Spring has got to be the best time to move though, that itchy motivational shove that comes from melting snow and sunshine is perfectly accommodated by the requirements of moving. The daycare is well on its way to be up and running nearly as soon as we move in, organization plans for the house have been sketched out, as well as paint colors chosen (remember those late nights...), LH starts swimming lessons two weeks after we move in, Easter presents have been selected, exercise routines and diet plans are in place and all the tax information has stayed filed (despite my lack of a filing cabinet) all in one place for easy access as soon as the computer has found its new home.
And soon there will be a bundle of new babies!
It's going to be a great season!
