So, first off, my absolute favorite photo!!
Now that I've gotten that giggle over with...
We celebrated the kids birthdays the past weekend. We had awesome weather, great company, and I have to say, pretty wicked food! I'm pretty darn proud of my first three-tiered cake attempt. (Don't worry, I'll be posting pics later, as soon as Grandma forks them over. No modesty here.)
The fact that I now have a one year old and a three year old has been a large reality check over the few days since thier party. I think I'm even going through a bit of a depression about it! It's made me take a good look at the kids: at how close Lil' F is to grabbing hold of his independence and taking off walking on his own; at how tall Lil' H has grown in the last few months, and how much more she's taking in and understanding. There's no need for simple talk with her any more.
My baby isn't a baby any more!
